Here’s an opportunity for those of you currently in 10th through 12th grades!
Consumer Decision Making is a great educational experience as well as a fun time with 4-H friends. The regional competition happens at the Tennessee State Fair ! (You would be excused from school that day.) There is much variety in the kinds of things we will study as a group as we learn skills in making good decisions. We will study categories such as MP3 players, trail foods, backpacks, athletic socks, yogurt, nutrition in the athlete, vitamins, and light bulbs. We study what to look for to get the best quality in each category. Then you are given a scenario and four choices. You rank them from best to worst (or sometimes from worst to best) and compete as a team of four against other teams from other counties in the central region. Four winning teams get to go on to a state competition in October.
